Once you have completed the online admission form, you will receive an email reply to confirm your online registration has been received (this may occur the next working day).

In order for us to process your online admission, please forward in the prepaid envelope provided:

  • Admission Referral from your Obseterician (green)
  • Copy of your Antenatal card (yellow card) front and back
  • The admission process needs to be completed prior to your admission. Due to occasionally needing to be admitted during your pregnancy, please complete this before 20 weeks.

We will be pleased to assist you, if you have any enquiries regarding your admission paperwork please contact us on (02) 42861077.

Patient account information

Wollongong Private Hospital has agreements with all major health funds, minimising upfront and out of pocket expenses for members. If your level of cover specifies that an excess or co-payment is payable, then you will be required to pay this on admission. Please contact your private health fund who will confirm your level of cover and advise you if there is an excess or co-payment on your policy.

Our admission staff are also happy to discuss out of pocket expenses if you are considering having your baby at Wollongong Private Hospital and do not contribute to a private health fund.

If you are at present covered by single health insurance, you are strongly advised to consider transferring to family cover at least three months before your expected date of delivery. The majority of health funds do not automatically cover your baby if there is a problem requiring neonatal care, unless family insurance had been in effect for a minimum of three months.

Costs for obstetric, anaesthetic and paediatric services are contracted between yourself and the practitioner. Please discuss with the individual specialists the costs that may be incurred.

We strongly recommend that you contact your health fund regarding your coverage to ensure you are not faced with unexpected expenses.

On admission, a compulsory $25 fee is payable to cover the cost of incidentals.

If you have any queries regarding costs in relation to your upcoming admission, please contact us on (02) 42861144 or (02) 42861131.
