Your Stay at Wollongong Private Hospital

Accommodation

The Hospital offers quality, brand new accommodation with both single and shared rooms available, all with ensuite bathrooms. Each room has a remote control entertainment system with television, Foxtel and radio access, as well as a direct dial telephone line to and from your room for personal calls. Many rooms offer peaceful views of the ocean and surrounding escarpment.

Mobile phones

When you are admitted please ask our staff if mobiles can be used in your room. Mobiles may be used in all public areas including the coffee shop. Wollongong Private Hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your mobile phone.

Telephones

Please ask your nurse on admission for details of your direct dial phone number. Local calls made from your room phone are free of charge, however a fee will be incurred for mobile, long distance and international calls on discharge.

Internet

Internet access is available by using wi-fi card purchased at reception. 

Dining at Wollongong Private Hospital

As a patient, you will receive fresh, nutritious, restaurant style meals prepared daily by our onsite, qualified chefs. Each morning you will receive a menu from which you may select meals according to your taste and dietary requirements. If you have any concerns with your meals during your stay, please ask your nurse to contact the Catering Manager, who will be happy to meet with you and discuss your requirements further.

Ramsay Retail Pharmacy

Ramsay Retail Pharmacy is located on Ground Floor of the hospital and open 6 days a week. Our friendly staff provides a professional and friendly service to all patients, staff and members of the general public. Newspapers & Magazines

Newspapers and Magazines can be purchased from Ramsay Retail Pharmacy located on Ground Floor.

Laundry

The hospital offers a personal laundry service to patients. Please ask your nurse for more information about how you can arrange to have garments laundered during your stay.

Interpreters

An Interpreter service can be arranged if necessary. Please discuss this requirement with your nurse.

Smoking

Please note, Wollongong Private Hospital is a smoke free campus. Smoking is not permitted on or near the Wollongong Private Hospital grounds.
