COVID-19 Information

NSW Health has advised that 16 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state on Wednesday 23 June, triggering a range of new restrictions which can be found here. One of these individuals, who was unknowingly exposed to COVID-19, was not considered to be infectious when they visited Wollongong Private Hospital on Friday 18 June or Saturday 19 June.

Seeking community consumers

Wollongong Private Hospital recognises that engaging consumers in the design, delivery and evaluation of health care has significant benefits to clinical quality and health outcomes, the experience of care and level of satisfaction, as well as the operations of delivering care. To ensure patients/ consumers/ carers are supported by the hospital and have an opportunity to be represented in decisions concerning health care, this hospital has established a consumer representative committee as a mechanism for involving consumers in the assessment and evaluation of information and services produced and provided for patients.
