Childbirth and Parenting Programs
Childbirth and Parenting Programs Update
The safety of our patients, staff, visitors, and doctors is always our top priority. We have been proactively planning and implementing a comprehensive response to the evolving COVID-19 situation in Australia. In light of recent developments, a decision has been made to postpone our childbirth and parenting programs along with maternity tours for the time being. We will provide an update with new information in the coming weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Preparation for childbirth classes
Wollongong Private Hospital has committed to planning and providing a comprehensive childbirth and parenting program to prepare parents for the birth of their child. Our educators are all experienced registered midwives.
Our antenatal class program together with the Pregnancy and Birth Information booklet will inform you of the changes happening throughout pregnancy and the birth of your baby. We believe women should be educated about all available options during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting (including the risks), so that you and your partner can make informed decisions on your journey to become a parent.
