A/Prof Bindu Murali is a senior female gynaecologist with over 25 years clinical and surgical experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She has held long-term clinical roles as a VMO at Wollongong Private Hospital and senior staff specialist at Wollongong and Shellharbour public hospitals with surgical and admitting privileges at all locations.
A/Prof Murali has helped thousands of women through their journeys with complex gynaecological conditions. She undertakes all minor and major gynaecological surgeries including vaginal surgeries, surgical procedures for urinary incontinence, open abdominal and laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries and accepts referrals for robotic gynaecological surgeries.
She is also the Clinical and Academic Lead for the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department at the University of Wollongong (UOW). She is actively engaged in teaching Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) accredited trainees and mentoring junior consultants in the health service. These roles enable her to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based medical and surgical treatments to patients referred to her.

- Laparoscopic gynaecological procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy (Level 4 accredited)

- Complex vaginal and open gynaecological surgical procedures including vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy
