Dr Gohil's interests include device implantation including loop recorder, pacemakers, defibrillators (ICD) and biventricular pacemakers for heart failure patients. He performs electrophysiology (EPS) studies and AF ablations and consults patients on general cardiac conditions such as chest pain, shortness of breath, heart failure, syncope, cardiac risk stratification.

Dr Gohil trained in invasive and non-invasive cardiology at Liverpool and John Hunter hospitals, NSW, Australia. He has been a practising cardiologist in the Illawarra area for more than 10 years, both in public and private hospitals. He holds a staff specialist position within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) and has admitting rights at the Wollongong hospital, Shellharbour hospital and Wollongong Private Hospital. Dr Gohil was the first cardiologist to practise Electrophysiology in the Illawarra area, he introduced the Atrial Fibrillation ablation (AF) service using both cryoballoon and radiofrequency methods locally through Wollongong Private Hospital and is experienced in AF management. He is committed to treating patients suffering from AF with the latest technology.
