Dr Mohammad Azari is an Australian trained Cardio-thoracic Surgeon having competed his cardiothoracic training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Royal Hobart Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He has worked as a cardiothoracic and thoracic surgeon both within Australia at Townsville University Hospital and abroad at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He is a consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Liverpool hospital.
Dr Azari has an interest in complex coronary surgeries including all-arterial, off-pump and on-pump coronary surgeries. He is also experienced in performing aortic surgeries, heart valve surgeries, and arrhythmia surgeries. He is trained in performing minimally invasive thoracic surgery and offers thoracoscopic (including single port access) thoracic surgery and robotic thoracic surgery.
Dr Azari is accredited at Wollongong Private Hospital and provides a local cardiothoracic service to private and public patients within the Illawarra and South Coast.
