Dr Saleem Loghdey is a Consultant Dermatologist who undertook a double fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery. He has over 20 years’ experience in private practice and is experienced in the management of complex and routine skin cancers, surgical dermatology, medical dermatology and general dermatology. He also performs Mohs procedures for the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia, a not-for-profit charity that has become Australia’s centre of excellence in skin care.
After graduating from the University of Cape Town in 1995, Dr Loghdey became a Fellow of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa in 2003. After working extensively across the UK as a Member of the British Association of Dermatologists and Member of the British Society of Dermatological Surgeons, he received a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2014.
Dr Loghdey is committed to improving the treatment and outcomes of skin cancer treatment in Australia and is part of the innovative integrated skin cancer education program run by the ISHC Education & Research Foundation.
He has previously published on the effectiveness of Mohs surgery in clearing aggressive skin cancer. He is a strong believer in evidence-based medicine and regularly attends research meetings in surgical and laser dermatology and has given presentations at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr Loghdey is passionate about patient-focused, individualised care that involves educating patients on their diagnoses, developing an individual treatment plan and fostering a close collaborative relationship with the patient’s GP.
