Professor Peter Presgrave

Prof Presgrave is a specialist haematologist who cares for patients with both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions. He is also involved in clinical research and is committed to increasing access to clinical trials and new therapies for haematology patients in the Illawarra.

Prof Presgrave is a specialist haematologist who cares for patients with both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions (general haematology). He holds dual degrees with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia.  He has previously been the recipient of an NHMRC Scholarship and has completed a PhD in Gene Therapy of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. He is a Senior Staff Specialist in Haematology at Wollongong Hospital and currently holds multiple positions including Director of Clinical and Laboratory Haematology, Head of Haematology Clinical Trials and Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Service. He is also a member of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma group (ALLG).

Prof Presgrave has extensive experience in malignant haematology including myeloma, lymphoma and leukaemia as well as non-malignant haematology. He is also involved in clinical research and is committed to increasing access to clinical trials and new therapies for haematology patients in the Illawarra.
