Dr Kothari trained in Ahmedabad, India, where he completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2003 and then went on to complete training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in 2006. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in high risk pregnancies and emergency gynaecology.
On migrating to Australia in 2009, Dr Kothari trained in the Australian Health Service whilst working at Royal Hobart Hospital, the main tertiary referral centre for the state of Tasmania focusing on high risk obstetric care provision. Dr Kothari then pursued further training as a senior registrar at Calvary Hospital, Canberra in advanced laparoscopic gynaecology before gaining his Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2016.
With a passion for learning and research, Dr Kothari’s keen academic interest in education has led to numerous national and international publications and conference presentations.
Dr Kothari has level 6 experience and training in complex laparoscopic procedures. He is regularly invited to attend and participate in focused learning courses in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques by leading specialists from around the world.
