Clinical Associate Professor Lee is the Head of Illawarra Ophthalmology and an experienced ophthalmologist performing cataract surgery in Australia - he has completed more than 15,000 successful cataract surgeries in his career. His priority is to provide excellent vision with the highest level of safety.
He introduced topical anaesthesia (no needle to the eye) for cataract surgery to the Illawarra and performs all his cases using this method. A/Prof Lee also provides a comprehensive ophthalmological service including glaucoma, macular degeneration, eyelid procedures and paediatric ophthalmology.
He operates at Wollongong Private Hospital, Wollongong Day Surgery, Shellharbour Private Hospital, The Wollongong Public Hospital, and Shellharbour Public Hospital.
He has an interest in overseas charity work and regularly works with disadvantaged peoples in Africa and Asia. He is a competitive marathon surf ski paddler and, together with his wife and three children, is an active member of St. Michaels Church, Wollongong.
He is available most days from his rooms in Figtree and Wollongong.
