Wollongong Private Hospital specialist Robert McLeod

Dr Robert McLeod

MBBS, FRACP

Dr Robert McLeod is a Paediatrician who is happy to see all varieties of consultations from newborns to teens.

Dr. Robert McLeod is a Specialist General Paediatrician who lives in the Illawarra with his family. He holds VMO appointments at Wollongong Private Hospital and Wollongong Public Hospital. He runs his private clinic from Dr. Jeff Brereton’s rooms on 93 Smith Street, Wollongong. He also does private telehealth clinics through Cub Care.

Dr. McLeod completed his training at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and his medical degree from the University of Sydney. He has a broad range of experience having worked throughout New South Wales as well as The Royal Darwin Hospital in the Northern Territory.

Dr. McLeod is the Co-Founder of Australia’s first allergen introduction product, Taste Bubs (www.tastebubs.com.au). He started Taste Bubs to make allergen introduction easier for parents from his own experience, to help reverse the trend of food allergies in Australia (where allergy rates are the highest in the world).

He pursued a career in General Paediatrics because he is interested and happy to see all varieties of consultations. In fact, variety is what Dr. McLeod enjoys most about his work. He loves seeing all children from newborns to teens.

When he’s not working with kids and families, he is being chased around by his two adorable daughters, wife and loveable (at times naughty) pup named ‘Oreo’.
